Which type of wood is stronger and harder?

back in the day they used cerasol, and gas, i watched a couple of furiture guys in baton rouge dip chairs and fence rails. they said it makes them bug proof and last longer, it did smell , but i saw some that were a week or so old and dried and they didnt, so i guess it works

I’m buying a set of 1 and my designer designed them as artificial rattan while my supplier built them as natural rattan. Which one is better? Is artificial rattan more durable? I thought natural rattan will look better plus it is cheaper. Rattan can last at least 10 years right?
